The gentleman went above and beyond to help us. Our train ditched us (and other passengers) at Wesel, track signaling broken. So we decided last minute to rent a car and drive 3 hours to our destination.
The gentleman (sorry I never caught his name) spoke flawless English, though he politely apologized for his English, ha. Offered us all cold drinks on a hot day. Called a local supermarket/super store asking if they had children' booster seats in stock so we could purchase boosters there (20 euros) instead of renting boosters with Sixt (10 euros/day).
Our rental car experience went smoothly. No problems on the road, easy drop off near Frankfurt. We were impressed with how orderly the autobahn was. Germans are justifiably proud of their driving.
Thank you Sixt, for saving our trip!
