Good to know when renting in Romania
The minimum age for a SIXT rental in Romania is 18, with a driver’s license held for at least 1 year. Some specialty categories require the renter to be 23, and an underage driver fee applies to those under 25.
All renters will need a valid driver’s license held for at least 1 year, plus an ID or passport. Those with licenses using a non-Roman alphabet like Cyrillic or Arabic will need an international driving permit.
One-way rentals within Romania are generally allowed for standard car categories with approval from the rental station. Additional fees may apply.
