Just returned the car. Nothing was damaged and I returned it with same gas amount as received. No issues or additional charges. There was a large hold on the card for not paying additional insurance, but I didn’t mind it. If booked with Sixt website, required third party insurance is included. Since I was skeptical, I did take photos of all documents, and photos and videos of the car in case I was charged wrongfully. Car conditions - it did have the engine light on the whole time, and it had 113k miles, but it worked well driving to La Paz and Cabo Pulmo. The only thing I wasn’t pleased about is the various airport desk folks trying to get you to spend money on their “deals”. You’ll see them after the location where you submit your customs form. Just ask them for the car rental company pickup location and leave. Once you get there, you’ll see they have a car with a small Sixt sticker and the driver will be holding a laminated Sixt logo. It’s like a 5 minute drive to the car rental spots, free of charge.

SIXT is, by far, the best rental car facility in Cabo. We have been using SIXT for several years after being burned by several other companies for our earlier visits to Cabo. There are no 'surprise' tactics with extra charges like many other rental places in Cabo. Just get the insurance you need. It is not forced upon you. They even stayed open past their closing time just for me because my flight was delayed 3 hours - AND texted to make sure the shuttle was there to greet me. Marcos is absolutely fabulous in terms of customer service and Victor was a delight as my shuttle driver and very heavy suitcase lifter. We own a rental property in Cabo and recommend SIXT to all of our guests who want to rent a car.

I had an exceptional experience with these guys. They made our vacation a lot smoother, so had more time to enjoy it. They accommodated our every need and helped us find a gas station to fill up before our flight back home. I highly recommend booking a rental car through Sixt if you’re ever in Los Cabos!

Best place to rent a car at SJD. They have a small staff and you might have to wait a few minutes for a ride, but it's worth it. Once at the office it only took 10 minutes to get our SUV (versus 2.5 hours at the rental place next door). They didn't try pressure tactics about the insurance like the neighboring rental company either. FYI, all rental companies put a ~US$2,000 hold on your credit card if you use your own insurance. The return process was also very smooth and prompt (thanks, Francisco!).

Small operation, but the staff is super friendly and helpful and they don't go over the car with a microscope looking for scratches they can charge you for like Hertz in Cabo does. And the rental fees and insurance are reasonable! They have a van for transport between the store and the airport. Check if your car insurance covers rental car damage in Mexico and you can get by with just Mexican liability.

My husband and I had an I had an issue getting out COVID test printed which caused us to be late for our blight from SJD. When we pulled up and told them we were running late they went above and beyond to get our closing transaction complete. Thank you for successfully getting us to the airport on time.

Rented on line. We had CDW insurance on our credit card. Bought the "state" required insurance from Sixt. All very straight forward. No high pressure sales to buy additional insurance. Easy check in. Would use them again.

Easy to rent a car. No line. Called for shuttle to pick up at airport as rental cars are across the street but too far to walk. Great rates and mandatory Mexican insurance included in price.
